Experienced Teachers Trained On How To Teach

At Summit School of Music, we know that being a great musician doesn’t automatically make you a great teacher. Just because someone can play doesn’t mean they know how to help someone else learn. That’s why we place such a strong focus on teacher training. Teaching is its own skill, just like learning an instrument, and when teachers are well-trained, lessons become more effective, and most importantly, way more fun!

Why Students At Summit School
Of Music Have An Unfair Advantage

Clear, Proven and Custom
Step-By-Step Learning Systems
Over a decade, we have developed a method of learning guitar and piano that enables students to learn at a rate significantly above average. This has a 100% success rate with students who follow the path and do what we coach them to do! This will give you a clear path so you never have to wonder what to do to become the musician you want to be!
Performance Opportunities
With Professional Musicians
At Summit School of Music, we host two big performances every year that we call our Rock Shows.
These aren’t recitals, they’re full-on concert experiences. We bring in professional musicians for the students to play alongside, plus sound engineers, videographers, photographers, smoke machines, lighting systems, and more. Every detail is designed to give our students a taste of what it’s really like to be on stage as a rock star. Participation is completely optional, but for students who want the thrill of performing, it’s an unforgettable experience.

This is an online aid to in-person lessons. The majority of students' progress occurs during lessons. However, it can be tougher to practice at home, so this is a way to support your practice and provide clear direction to follow.

Our goal is to go above and beyond for our students, and this is just one example of how we accomplish this. We don't want to offer standard guitar and piano lessons; we want to help people achieve their goals in the shortest amount of time possible. And we are committed to doing whatever it takes to help people get there.
We've created a private website featuring over 100 videos to help you achieve your goals more quickly. Most progress happens in lessons, but this is to help guide your practice at home.

"Fantastic Guitar Lesson Experience! I have always wanted to learn guitar, especially electric guitar. I had tried teaching myself but I quickly lost interest. Dylan is excellent at teaching the practical aspects of playing the guitar and he intersperses music theory as needed to understand the concepts. He is able to motivate students to improve their playing. I definitely walk out feeling like I accomplished something and playing better than when I walked in. I would unreservedly recommend Summit School of Music to anyone."

"Summit School of Music is a fantastic music school. My son has been taking guitar lessons for over three years now, and the progress I have seen, from knowing nothing about guitar to playing in a band on stage, is remarkable. All the lessons are fun. My son cannot wait to go to guitar lessons every week. If your kids are interested in learning how to play the guitar, please know that this is the best place for them, and they will have fun doing it."

"Taking lessons from Summit School of Music has been a great experience. The teachers are very patient and understand how to teach. That was very important for me since I’d taken lessons before from others who were not necessarily teachers. Because of that, it helped me progress much faster. They are organized and thorough. I’ve really enjoyed it!"

"I have been taking lessons for 2 years, and I feel like my progress is impossible without a teacher like Dylan. He taught me a great deal about music theory, and he simplified it in a way that I could understand. The resources Dylan provides are also extraordinarily useful. Even outside of lessons, I am able to learn a lot through his resources. I highly recommend enrolling in lessons. You will learn much faster, and when you learn faster, you will enjoy the guitar more!"

My 12-year-old son has been attending Summit School of Music for about a year, and the progress he has made is impressive. Before discovering the Summit School of Music, he had tried various classes for different instruments, including piano, violin, bass, and drums. As a parent, I can confidently say these lessons are the most effective and highly engaging learning experience.
